Please make sure excessive voltage is not applied to these coloured units. They are older versions using series resistors to control the current. They do not like voltages over 12.8 V. We have found that on top of the masthead where the voltage is lower they operate OK. It would be better if they were powered away from the main charging system, away from spikes and surges normally associated with large start up loads like compressors and pumps etc.

Must be used behind a waterproof fitting if used in marine application
